Listening to your body isn't enough
So often, the fitness advice given to the pregnant and postpartum mom is "just listen to your body."
But this advice isn't helpful! These are completely new stages of life and you don't know what you're listening for!
You want to make sure you and your baby are safe, but how do you do that?
- Can you do what you've always done?
- Can you get diastasis recti if you do certain exercises?
- When should you stop doing certain things?
It can be a very confusing stage to navigate.
We're here to help.
Join us for our 90 minute seminar. We'll talk about common concerns, risks and rewards, diastasis recti, and dysfunctions associated with pregnancy and postpartum stages. We'll share our experiences and our knowledge from specialized training for pregnancy and postpartum athleticism.
Are you ready to learn more than just "listen to your body"?
Can't attend in person?
Shoot us an email. We'd love to share this information in a webinar after the event.
We just need to know if there are enough people that would benefit!
Tell me more about PregnanCY & Postpartum Athleticism
Who is PregnanCY & Postpartum Athleticism For?
Pregnant and postpartum athleticism is for every woman who is pregnant or postpartum whether you had your baby 8 weeks ago or 30 years ago. PPA is important for women to help avoid those perceived normal pelvic floor dysfunctions, like leaking, pain, or prolapse.
WHAT is PPA?
Pregnant and postpartum athleticism teaches women how to properly recruit their pelvic floor throughout exercises, whether their fitness program is CrossFit, jogging, yoga, or beachbody workouts, as well as during activities of daily living like lifting your baby or stroller. It is important to properly utilize your pelvic floor to help heal and avoid common pelvic floor dysfunctions while pregnant and postpartum that up until recently we thought we had to just live with for the rest of our postpartum lives.
HOW will we incorporate PPA ino our lives?
The PPA seminar will give you an overview of PPA. However, CrossFit Ampersand will soon offer a PPA course, which will run for six weeks at a time. During this course, we will learn how to properly move, learn about our body, our pelvic floor and change our relationship with our body. The goal of the course is to create good habits physically and emotionally. We will talk through our birth experience, help heal old wounds and bond with other ladies in our groups.
