Common Questions

What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide. Since then it has evolved to be an all inclusive fitness program for people of any athletic capability.

Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist.

The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.

The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree not kind. Our armed forces, skiers, mountain bike riders and housewives have found their best fitness from the same regimen.

What does pricing look like?

We will review all of our pricing options with you during your No Sweat Intro.

I'm new to CrossFit what should I expect?

If you’ve never tried CrossFit before, we want to be sure your first experience with us is safe & fun. For this reason, we do not allow new members to join our normal CrossFit classes without notice. Instead, we offer No Sweat Intros, where you get to meet a coach, get a tour of our space, learn about CrossFit, and how we can help you reach your goals. From there, most people head into an On-Ramp program, which is 4 one on one sessions with a coach designed to teach you proper form and get you ready to join in on group classes.

What do I bring/wear for my first WOD?

Your first workout (or WOD) will be challenging and fun. Be sure to show up a few minutes early to sign a waiver and get a quick tour and run down of what to expect. Wear comfortable clothes and appropriate shoes (ones you can run and move in) and please bring a water bottle. We’ll walk through the workout and scale or modify any elements to fit your current fitness ability. If you have any other questions, they can be answered by the coach or you can call us at 775-800-6348.
